What Makes Great Multicam Editing?
The difference between amateur and professional video isn’t just about the cameras — it’s about the edit. Great multicam editing combines technical skill with creative vision to create something that’s greater than the sum of its parts.
We are excited to announce that David Shine,Technical Director and DOP in residence at The International School of Screen Acting (ISSA), will be heading up our judging panel shortlisting your entries. David brings with him a wealth of more than 40 years of experience across the industry with a range of clients from the BBC to Disney, be it cutting trailers for feature films to shooting dramas and documentaries.


Judging Criteria
All valid entries will be judged for shortlisting based on the following criteria:
Creativity & Innovation (35%)
Unique approaches to multi-camera filming and editing.
Technical Execution (30%)
Video quality, smooth transitions, and colour grading.
Storytelling (25%)
Narrative clarity and engagement.
Adherence to Guidelines (10%)
Proper submission format, metadata inclusion, and technical specs compliance.
Shortlisted entries will be put to the public vote to decide a Winner and Two (2) Runners Up.
Competition Categories
We’re celebrating the art of multi-camera editing across four exciting categories:
- Static Multi-Camera Shoot: involves 3 statically-mounted cameras.
- Talking Heads: eg interviews, v-logs
- Product: eg reviews, tear downs, unboxing
- Tutorials: eg cooking, DIY, beauty
- Entertainment: eg music, fashion, dance
- Creative short: tell us a story!
- Dynamic Multi-Camera Shoot: your subject and at least 1 of your 3 cameras is moving.
- Action sports: eg skateboarding, mountain biking
- Creative short: surprise us!!
- Travel
